Investing in Tommorrows Leaders With A Step Beyond
At A Step Beyond, we empower future leaders through our four pillars: Networking, Health, Wealth, and Finance. Your support, especially through our Remarkable Expo, helps us create impactful programs and build a legacy of success. Invest in tomorrow’s leaders and make a lasting difference with us.
The Remarkable Expo
The Remarkable Expo was held on August 30th and 31st this year, expanding to a two-day event. The event, which takes the form of a festival promoting overall health, continues to focus on people of color while also offering activities for families with children. In addition, there were workshops for adults aimed at improving physical, emotional, and financial health. The entire event was free of charge and open to the public.
Just Breathe and Believe
According to the CDC, 49.6% of the African American population is considered obese. Obesity can cause health issues like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, and stroke, which disproportionately affect African Americans. ASB provides education and events to promote healthy habits, partners with mental health professionals to offer free counseling and alternative resources and offers group engagement activities for emotional support.
